I offer workshops at my farmden in New York’s Hudson Valley (and sometimes elsewhere). This is an opportunity for me to teach where I grow, so each workshop is a very hands-on experience.
If you are in the New Paltz, NY area or are willing to travel, this is a worthwhile trip. Workshop length depends on the content. Note: Occasional workshops are held offsite.
PRUNING WORKSHOP, with Lee Reich, PhD, farmdener* and writer (author of The Pruning Book)
•Timing for when to prune.
•The “tools of the trade” and their maintenance.
•How plants — all plants — respond to various types of pruning cuts.
•Pruning demonstrations, and some hands-on pruning, of plants such as apples, pears, grapes, hardy kiwis, and blueberries.
After this workshop you will feel comfortable, confident, and enlightened in pruning any plant!
